Barracudas are fierce predators of fishes and squids. Some species as the Pickhandle Barracuda, Military Barracuda and Heller's Barracuda are largely nocturnal. Other species, such as the Yellowtail Barracuda, occur in small, fast-moving schools near reefs and hunt during the day.
