Notes

Dragonets and Stinkfishes are mainly found in shallow coastal waters, with a few species occurring in deeper waters to about 500 m, usually over sandy or muddy bottoms. Stinkfishes take their name from the strong odour they emit when captured, and they should not be eaten as the bitter-tasting flesh causes nausea.
