Vachell's Glassfish is found in northern Australia and south-east Asia in coastal marine waters, amongst mangroves and in brackish estauries and tidal creeks, sometimes venturing into fresh water. Like other Glassfishes it takes its name from the transparent flesh through which the vertebrae and internal organs can be seen. |
