Image Bank - Fishes

Large Barramundi are almost all females while smaller ones are almost all males. Females can reach up to 2m in length. Juveniles travel upstream into swamps, creeks and freshwater lagoons to mature before moving downstream again to spawn. The Barramundi is hugely popular as a sportfish.
